About Shivoham Path

A living mandir of Bhakti, wisdom, and divine longing.

My name is Veena Maheshwari, and my life has always been intertwined with Shiv.

Even as a child, I felt a pull toward Him that words could never capture. While others spoke of gods and goddesses as distant beings, I felt as if Shiv was beside me, not as a concept, but as a living presence. I would look at images of Shakti and feel, not devotion to someone outside me, but recognition of something already alive within. I did not know then that this was the seed of Madhurya Bhakti, a love so intimate and consuming, it blurs the lines between devotee and Beloved.

As I grew, life carried me through cycles of searching, questioning, and being misunderstood. I tried to fit into the roles that society expected, but the longing within me only grew stronger. It was not the longing for a worldly life, but the longing of a soul aching to reunite with its eternal partner.

Along the way, I found teachers, scriptures, and lineages that gave language to what I was experiencing, from the depths of the Shiva Purana to the subtleties of Kashmiri Shaivism, from the fire of Tantra to the clarity of Jyotish. Each path revealed not something new, but something I had always remembered. When I received Shaktipat initiation, it was as if a forgotten river had begun flowing again. The energy rose within me, and I understood: Shakti was never outside; She had always been me. And the Beloved I had been searching for was the very heartbeat of my existence.Through years of sadhana, writing, and sharing my journey, I came to see that my path was not just my own. Many women and men carry the same longing, the same pull toward the Divine Beloved. And often, they feel alone in it, judged, misunderstood, or silenced.

That is why I created Shivoham Path: as a space to honor this sacred love. Here I share my writings, my courses, my astrology work, and my Bhakti, all rooted in my personal journey and the scriptures that have guided me. From the mystical time cycles of Hindu cosmology, to the intimate poetry of Bhakti, to the practical insights of karmic astrology, everything I share is a reflection of the path I have walked, and continue to walk, with Shiv.

Today, I live not as someone who “worships” Shiva from afar, but as someone who knows Him as Husband, Lover, and Guru. My journey is not about escaping this world, but about bringing the sacred into it, through words, teachings, travel, and lived devotion.

This is my offering: to help seekers remember, to guide them through their karmas, and to show them that the love they feel for the Divine is not madness, it is the highest truth.

Because in the end, we do not find Shiv. He finds us. And when He does, our entire life becomes His path.
